Etsy Shop finally open!

I have been very busy with tax season in full swing.  However, my creative side never really stops moving.  I took this wonderful afternoon off and was finally able to open my Etsy shop for Modern Cottage Creations!  I have tote bags and table runners currently on my shop for sale and will be making and posting more as I go.  If you have a chance, please check it out.  http://www.etsy.com/shop/ModCottageCreations I am gearing up for craft shows that will be coming up this spring as well.  On March 16th I will be at the McDonell high school in Chippewa Falls for their Spring Craft show.  Dress festivally for St. Patrick's day, and come down for a day of great crafty fun! I will also be at the Spring Craft show at the Chippewa Falls High School on April 6th.  This was my favorite show last year, and I am thrilled to do it again.  A great day with great crafters, a fun loving shopping crowd, and so much to see.  I look forward to being at the show, and I hope to see you th

Completed funky baby quilt

I finally finished the funky baby quilt I have been working on. It was delivered on Saturday night to much joy and praise. She is very excited to get it to her daughter. It has a great pieced backing so both sides of the quilt are super fun! And it has a matching bassinette cover to go with it. I didn't have measurements for the bassinette so I am hoping, fingers crossed, that it fits! - Katie

Funky baby quilt

While everyone was watching the superbowl I hunkered down in my sewing room with some Disney movies to watch while I worked on this super funky baby quilt. I have the top, the pieced backing, and the binding all set, now I just need to put them all together!

Fiber Arts Festival

I spent Saturday at the fiber arts festival at the chipped valley museum. There were lots of local artists sharing their crafts from wool spinning to knit and crochet to sewing and quilting. It was wonderful to chat with the greatly talented fiber artists in the area and meet all the people so interested in what we are doing. I'm already looking forward to next year! If your looking for something fun to do in the eau Claire area next Saturday the 9th, check out the green oasis garden center's cure cabin fever craft show from 9-4. I will be there with the lovely MCC booth!
